Our history
The company TB Plast, launched in 1992 in the Ain département of France by André Tavernier and specialized in custom Injections mouldings soon made a name for itself. In 1995, Laurent Benoit joined the company with his sights on taking its expertise to the automotive market. The company decided to embrace a new technology: BI-MATERIAL Injections mouldings. With the acquisition of PLAST MOUL in 1999, it consolidated its position as an expert on the automotive market. The holding company TBI was then created. The research and development unit became a powerful asset for the optimization of production, consolidating the group’s expertise. In 2004, with a view to expand while always remaining in tune with the needs of its markets, the company began to set up operational bases within its market regions. At the same time, the group started to invest in the automation of production lines at these different sites, so as to anticipate and respond to market needs through innovation and high performance.
TBI Group
In 2019, the group counted over 250 employees and six production sites in Europe and North Africa. TBI Group continues to grow, with plans to expand production sites in Spain and Hungary. To be bold is to be innovative and avant-garde: moving forward, a technical centre will open its doors in 2020.
